I'm trying to burn the DVD image for Fedora Core 6, and I simply can't get the damed thing to burn. The checksum works out fine, and I've tried several burning programs, but all of them fail, saying "illegal disc."
I can burn other DVDs fine with the machine and the DVDs and the burner and the program, so what the crap am I doing wrong? Anyone wanna burn the image for me? And no, I don't want CDs because I hate having to sit there and swap the CD out every 5 minutes. Network install takes 5 hours, even on campus, hell, even with the "mirror" on my local network.
Thx. And yes, I googled. 2/10/2007 12:44:05 AM |

What's the image type? .iso? Where did you get the image? 2/10/2007 12:59:09 AM |

ISO. I got several ones, just to see if I was crazy. Got one from the BT link off of RH.com. Got one from ftp.linux.ncsu.edu, got another from mirror.linux.duke.edu.
and yes, I realize I could have done a net install by now, but I need to do this on several machines, too, and I don't have the skills to do a kickstart yet. I'm not 1337 enough 2/10/2007 1:07:55 AM |

Yeah, I had issues burning the DVD iso. The install would always fail. I then tried burning the 6-CD version and it installed fine without any issues.
