I had unplugged my PC to hit it with some canned air. When I plugged it back in and tried to turn it back on, nothing happened.

I was thinking I had ruined the power supply with some of the liquid the can tends to spray out, but tried to get it to work anyway. I flipped the on/off switch a few times, made sure all the wires were still in place, and still nothing.

For the heck of it, I slid the red voltage switch back and forth and tried the power button again. This did the trick, and it started up.

Why did this work?

perhaps you sprayed the high pressured canned air where the voltage switch was and barely nudged out of place so it might have been set to 220v instead of 120.

I want to say I could have nudged the thing out of place as I was taking it out of my desk cabinet, but the switch is really hard to move. I had to use a knife to switch it back and forth.

Additional note I forgot to mention: I didn't switch it back and forth, then try the power button. I switched it, then hit the power button, and the system started for a split second. Then I switched it back, hit the power button, and the system turned fully-on.
