there is no one selling things here for just one price. everyone wants to auction it. i wander how hard it would be to make an auction section. 5/1/2002 10:48:44 PM |

difficult, probally not. Time consuming, I'm sure it would be.
shouldn't this be in the feedback section? 5/2/2002 2:20:37 AM |

And those of us that do auction things here can usually handle it without all the flashy, worthless things. I don't think we should ask too much of them. 5/2/2002 10:39:00 AM |

Also, with an auction, there is usally a winner......
Sometimes, highest bidder isn't high enough. I think its fine the way it already is. 5/2/2002 10:58:42 AM |

Most of us can post here to without all the flashy things but it's more fun with the flashy stuff.

It's called a reserved price...
While I agree that this is a great idea. Only Joe and CrazyJ work on the board from my understanding so I don't see it being feasable... If there were more developers I would say bang it out asap.
Until then I would recommend what some do, post it on ebay then offer it to those here via a link to ebay. More than likely it will not be sold to anyone here but it is an option. It would be cool, if somehow ebay hooked it up where they offered group auctions IE a user registers with TWW and puts up his ebay name for TWW internal use, then only TWW group members could bid on things... just my 2 cents...5/2/2002 5:31:21 PM |

This format would not work for people trying to find roommates... thus the reason an accompanying apartment/roommate guide/finder would have to be written as well.

I think classifieds by itself is a great idea, if used as classifieds. You list your item and price, period. They aren't bargian boxes, barter bins, or auctions. If you want the bargain box, or barter bin, or auction, you don't use classifieds. But TWW does a good job with what it has, a message board. You don't see people posting responses in daily newspapers, trying to lower peoples prices and talking trash. I like it the way it is... 5/2/2002 6:07:11 PM |
