Does anyone know of a website or anything of the sort where I can locate plans to build my own "walkie talkie'' set. yes, "google", but I can't find anything decent online. i'd apprecaite anyones help.

Speaking as a licensed Ham Radio Operator I have to ask on which bands do you want to transmit? Please understand the term "Shortwave" is usually used for receive only (ie: listening to BBC, Deutsche Welle, etc) ...if you are speaking of HF ("High Frequency") you are most likely going to need to pass a few tests and become a licensed Ham...good thing is that there is no longer a Morse Code requirement for Ham Radio...you just have to pass some Electronics based tests...I would suggest a couple of websites:
