Hey all,

I've got a JL Audio MicroSub (made to blend in and not take up too much trunk space, etc.) and a Kenwood KAC-716 Mono Amp to drive it.

I was a mobile electronics/audio/security installer for years, and I bought these for my brother a long time ago (good lord I miss that discount ;-) Anyhow, he used it for about a year and a half, and then decided he just didn't need it and wanted the trunk space back....so....it was all working like a champ when he traded it back to me, and I've not hooked it up since (but it's all been stored inside, etc. and looks like new).

Anyhow, here's a link to some pics:

http://picasaweb.google.com/stufflebeam/SubandAmpToSell

So, we need cash, and I don't really feel like dealing with the normal crap when things are posted with non-wolfweb prices, so....

$60 cash takes the pair.

I'll bring them to you for $10 more.

If you have giftcards for places like walmart/target/etc. I'll consider them, as well as if you work at a pizza joint (hell, any good food place), or have a connection that does, we're hungry, so that'd work in your favor.

Anyhow, as far as I can find, this is a wicked price, especially with their like-new conditions.

Tonight is preferred.

thanks!

will.

Ok, need to get dinner....

Make me an offer.

Hey, Students can use their ID/debit card at some area restaurants, right? (That's new since I've been gone)

So hey, There's a Papa Johns right across from the Library.....

If mom and dad put money on the card, let them buy you an amp and sub!

Also, if you aren't experienced with it, I can help by either explaining the install or helping you with it or doing it for you, and I'll do it for a lot less than the $45/hr+ that shops are charging...or were 8 years ago ;-) (I've got my own tools, so no worries)

Ok, so, I need at least $25 cash to square up the rent and some dinner tonight for me and my wife. I even have coupons :-)

anyone....please?

yeah, seriously groveling ;-) Serious times call for serious measures.

so who wants a kick ass deal?

will.

$25 + dinner and it's yours (whoever can do it - PM'd with PimpinHonda, and tomorrow is earliest we can meet up...so it's got to stay on the market)

If you want it, I can meet you at PapaJohn's on Hillsboro within 15 mins of agreement and the set is yours for $25 + the 2 medium 2 toppings for $12.99 deal.

That's a hell of a price for this pair....but again, desperate times, desperate measures. (need this one to happen asap....tonight.) - if PJ's is closed at the time, we can do Gumby's, Waffle House, Papa Lou's, really anything.....just looking for the rest of rent and some grub.

thanks!

will.

bah!

Why are you all out of town?!?!?

Hell, I spent ~8 years at ncsu and married a carolina girl I'd been dating since high school....so I was in the hill roughly 6 nights a week for about two years, so I do understand ;-)

That will *kill* a shitty little Saturn coupe though....think I put close to 80k miles on that thing during my freshman/sophmore year ;-)

Ok, well, anyone in town interested?

Anyone that's out of town have a friend that would make the deal for you and get you your stuff when you come back?

how much do these put out? I mean, I like a lot of bass and my car already puts out a ton with just factory, but I dont want anything in my car to sound like shit - I had a bazooka woofer in my car and it sounded horrible

They sound great. The Bazooka Tubes are shit (just my opinion). I sold them along side these JL Microsubs at Dashboard Stereo years ago, and the bazookas were honestly really 'gimmicky' as a product.

I mean, it's a neat idea, but they just never sounded good. They were a great option for that 16 year old who only had so much to spend, etc. Actually, without building something custom, they were a good option for someone with a pickup (with a regular cab), as they're all one unit and could usually be stashed behind the seat(s) without much trouble, where other production line options just wouldn't fit. (Also, you've got to consider the size of a regular cab pickup....never had to gain them up much to fill out the sound).

Anyhow, the JLs were top of the line when I was installing for Dashboard. They're excellent sounding speakers, and these micros are just cool.

This depends on what you're putting it in of course, but basically, this setup does a killer job of filling out the low end/boosting it if you'd like, but you won't feel the sub kick or anything like that. In its previous life, this amp and sub were installed in my brother's honda civic, with the factory stereo, and it sounded great. Just really brings the low end into the mix.

It's a great sub to add to your car if you don't want to shake the walls, but you want a little more punch. It really adds a lot to pretty much all kinds of music, from classical to jazz to hip hop to trip hop to jungle to pop rock to white noise....ok maybe not white noise, but I expect you've got the idea.

Ok, it's still up on the block if you're interested. I've got a confirmed bid (as you can see in the thread) for the $25 + a couple PapaJohn's pizzas, and I've got some crazy dude who wants me to drive to Virginia to sell it to him....It's posted on Craigslist for $80 and two people have said they'll pay full price, but time is of the essence...and I'm not in the Virginia state of mind

Ok, who wants it? I'm still entertaining offers, and whoever can get it first, for something reasonable gets it. I'm running out of time on this one. (Hell, the $80 asking price on CL is a deal, and still $20 more than what I asked for here to start with - I like you wolfweb folks :-)

Anyhow, I'm sitting at the computer :-)

will.
