Has anyone heard about the multiplayer beta test for Halo 3 coming out with Crackdown? If so did anybody get in on phase 1 or 2. If you don't know what I am talking about check here.

I'm considering buying crackdown, I'm liking huntin' for orbs in the demo, plus halo 3 as an added bonus; intriguing.

btw, i love that 'starry night' trailer for this game. i know it has no game play in it, but it just looks awesome.

guns - pretty much the same, with the exception of the readdition of the Assault Riffle, same old BR to go for. rocket launchers take some getting used to, not as big of explosion really, so usually takes two shots. Sniper doesnt shoot as fast in between shots (longer time between each shot), along with less autoaim in general (more like Halo 1). Tje laser gun is like the new sword, cheap, easy to use for the most part. And then you got your general random dual wielding guns.

The four wheeler, pretty much a fast mode of transportation, fun to drive, fun to drive off air lift/air launchers.


And the main new thing in my opinion getting used to is the use of the X button for the bubble shield you put up, the deployable grav lift, and a type of bomb you place. All of those are individual things you pick up through out the map. Bubble shield is my favorite, its like placing an invisible rock around you, you can run in and out of it, and only be hurt if either both players are in the bubble, or they hit you from around it if you are outside of it.

Other than all of that, it's halo. My first game I played was nothing real different, you pick up the gun, you throw grenades, you shoot the guys, they die, you rape.

but that is a very good thing IMO. A few new innovations and neat little tricks, but it's still the game we love...

hahah...hmmm I'm already planning on setting up my portable turret and the bubble shield so that the turret's barrel just sticks out of it enough to fire while I am protected in the shield

hahah assuming that could work... we'll see if they limited the shield in that capability.

shield last for like 15 seconds, by the time is goes it, you have atleast 2 guys focused on you with grenades, sniper, BR's, you die usually.

haha...there are two types of "sticks" now in the game...I gathered this from watching the "beta teaser" on IGN...the spike grenade thing apparently sticks as well as the plasma (at time 2:45)...just thought you guys should know if you are half as excited about the game as I am

yeah, the grenades with spikes stick to walls (whatever it hits first, it sticks to) as well as players, exploding off the spikes in every direction in a radius around it.
