i think you are wrong. i signed up before my freshman year at state and returning to state i rediscovered the wolf web. I've been reading for months and perhaps my first post wasn't "groundbreaking" but I didn't realize that was a requirement. and the other post that you are referring to was hardly about my ex-boyfriend's "condoms" as it was about the cheating. i THINK that when the forum was first created, access was granted to anyone registered before some certain date, as well as anyone with an age listed above a certain cutoff in their user profile.

Nowadays it seems like criteria for membership is:

1. Not being a tard.
2. Having been on TWW for a while.
3. Being an alumnus (helps).
4. Not whining about why nobody let you in here (as it shows you read the thread(s) on the subject).

Having it (membership) be subjective is probably the best way to keep this place from going to hell.

I completely agree with this statement. Most of the people that post in this forum were originally posting on TWW from their dorm rooms and apartments when some of the other members were still in Elementary School (for instance, i was a freshman at NCSU in 2000-2001. Someone that is a rising sophomore this year was 11 years old when i made my first post...putting it that way makes me feel old as hell). That is a big difference in age groups and most of the time...maturity levels.
