1) How easy is it to fry the audio on the motherboard? If the compy was on and I touched the mobo with a computer screwdriver trying to get a loose screw out, could that little touch have blown the mobo audio? (I was also messing w/ drivers for something, but can't seem to get the sound working again, thought it might have been the 1st)
2) I installed a 2nd instance of Windows on a seperate partition on my computer in an attempt to try something without messing up my other version of windows. Once finished I formatted the other drive to get rid of windows. When booting my computer I still get the choice to boot either instance of windows, but only one works and I cant figure out how to remove the choice for the other version.
Thank you in advance for any help! I usually try to troubleshoot on my own, but I can't figure these out. 2/21/2007 6:30:08 PM |

1) Possible, but unlikely. Most likely a driver issue. 2) Edit boot.ini on the second install and delete the entry corresponding to the first install. 2/21/2007 10:20:37 PM |

How can i check if my audio is shot or if it's a driver? all the drivers seem to be okay and troubleshooting them leads nowhere 2/22/2007 12:53:37 AM |
