If we are given one of the top four seeds for the NCAA tournament, let's Give Coach Yow and the Lady Pack one of the largest crowds the Pack have had ALL Season. THe squad, and ESPECIALLY Coach Yow deserve it especially after the great fight they put on in the ACC Tournament...

I challenge all NCSU students, fans, faculty and staff to fill up the RBC Center to capacity if we are given a #4 seed and allowed to play the first two rounds in Raleigh...

We've supported the guys team all season with constant sell-outs..why not the Lady Pack.....and if not for them, do it for the Lady who we renamed court in Reynolds after.. GO PACK!!

My bad Aristotle, I was thinking since it was the big dance they would want us playign in a larger seating capacity venue, even though the ladies play in Reynolds...someoen who knows for certain..correct me if Im wrong.....??

I dont care where in raleigh, I just want us to have a sell out to show the squad, all of the Lady Pack Bball trainers and staff, the team memebers...and COACH YOW..how much we appreciate her putting her condition on the back burner and coaching on the sidelines when she could be at home getting chemo treaments.. GO PACK....

and whatever date it is...I challenge all NCSU students to hold out your weekend partying until after the Lady pack's first NCAA tourney game, and drag that same spirit we have at Wolfpack football games to the Lady Pack NCAA tournament game in Raleigh(IF we get to host our first game).....

^^^ So I guess people can't post messages that other's don't agree with. The only reason anyone is excited about this shit is because of our coach. I would rather have a first round win in the real ACC tournament than 10 consecutive women's national championships.

you were right wolfood. last year they changed it to be like the mens tourney. top 4 seeds used to play on their homecourt. the first 2 rounds then go to regionals.

But you don't get to make that choice.

The fact is that only the women are going to the tournament this year.

So quit being a bitch.

yeah there is a good chance we will be seeded to play at rbc center

students will have to pay unless something weird has changed...but I can't imagine it would be expensive, and after seeing the effort they put up in the ACC tourney, I'd say it will be well worth it. I know they didn't pull it out today, but they are playing some good basketball that seems to be riding on emotion right now

Honestly, Im not sure we get to play at home even with a #3 seed. Duke and Carolina are looking at 1 seeds, and something tells me they will BOTH get to play their bracket in Raleigh and State gets shipped off. Yeah its bullshit, and hopefully they will send Carolina to Pittsburgh instead, but I fully believe this is whats going to happen.

The women will be playing at the RBC, they don't have to be the #4 seed. If a school is hosting and their team makes it they are guaranteed to play at home.

^^^^you apparently dont understand how the tournament works. As previously stated, there is no longer a "Top 4 seeds host", but predetermined locations, except teams are allowed to play at home if things line up unlike in the mens tournament. The sites are Austin, Minneapolis, Stanford, Los Angeles, East Lansing, Hartford, Pittsburgh, and Raleigh (http://www.ncaasports.com/basketball/womens/schedules). Duke will play in Raleigh, no question, but will UNC or State (impossible for all 3 to).

^Ive heard its "very likely" a team hosting will play at home, but I doubt anyone has hosted while there were two potential #1 seeds right down the road before either.

They will be playing at home, and Duke will more than likely be the #1 seed at Raleigh. Everyone team that made it to the tournament last year and had been a predetermined site stayed at home. Then ESPN goes on about how unfair it is to some schools, blah, blah.

It doesn't matter what # the women are, the media and the coaching staff have already stated how great it is that they don't have to travel for the 1st and 2nd round especially do to Yow's health.

This should end the debate on where NC State will play.

From the Championship HandbooK, Principles Principles and Procedures for Establishing the Bracket

If a team's institution is serving as a first and second round host, the team will be assigned to the instiution's site.
