Yeah, I know this is a long shot, but when I was at NCSU, I found a couple of people on here I babysat for, so here goes:

I am a 22 year old mom interested in caring for children ages 2 and up. I was certified in child/infant CPR until last spring, but I am more than willing to renew that certification if need be. I have experience with children from newborn to age 12. I also have experience with autistic children. I worked for Child Care Networks last year and have nannied and babysat since I was 13. I also have two children of my own. I am looking for children to keep full time in my home or in your home. My husband could possibly come with me sometimes and assist for no extra charge. He has lots of experience with school-aged children and worked in a day camp/after school park in Raleigh for several years. He is also bilingual. I would have to bring my own two children with me, but would provide their own food/snacks. (My children are 2 and 3 months.) Pay is negotiable. If this sounds like something that you would be interested in, or if you have any further questions, pm me. I live in Pittsboro, but am willing to commute if this is a full time thing. Also, One of the main reasons I am doing this is because I want my son to have a playmate, so if you have a child around his age, that would be even better.

if youre gonna privately contract babysitting/nannying, you should go ahead and renew your certification right now.

for all the obvious reasons. i wouldnt ever hire a full time babysitter without that.

good luck with the pittsboro commute. thats a long haul to NCSU area just for babysitting. you dont have families needing a nanny/babysitter closer to your home?

the fact that they have been through the class is good enough for me

certification proves that they know, and it also protects the care provider legally.

when i ask a potential nanny if they are CPR certified, theres only two possible answers.

do you even have kids?

I'm certified, but in like 10 years I've never had anyone request it.
