Looks like eye candy. How useful is it? Is it anything more than a novelty? 3/6/2007 2:27:24 PM |

really useful i hate having icons out the wazoo on my desktop..and they just updated it so when you minimize a program it goes straight to the dock and not your taskbar 3/6/2007 3:11:13 PM |

which version are you running.
I just installed the current build, but dont see how to get the minimized apps to get off my taskbar
NM ... I got it to work. It minimizes a new icon to the dock. I think I would rather have it minimize the current window to nothing, allowing me to just click on the main icon again to open it back up...
But I guess that would cause problems for those wanting to open multiple windows of an app ... such as a browser.

^not really. more of a MAC dock for the PC.
Quick launch will not allow you to minimize windows to it. 3/7/2007 2:53:04 PM |

while it is 'old' it's not 1995 old.
it's gone way farther, w/ vista support it allows the icon to display in realtime what the app is doing (live preview), along with high resolution icons, text labels, autohide, multiple monitor support, transparency, layering, skinning, drag & drop, minimize to dock, running application indicator (brings up app if already open), etc..

This is pretty cool. A lot better than that dockstar bull crap. it loads right up and is by far not as memory intensive as other software I have seen. 3/8/2007 12:34:11 PM |

dang man, i can't believe you don't have 12.5MB of memory to spare, that must suck. not only that but at idle without mouseover it's 0% of my cpu resources, and with mouseover 5-10%... if can't afford that i feel sorry for you. 3/8/2007 7:04:43 PM |
