The Case award almost always goes to the best player and the Team that wins it, and that would be Wright. I would say Costner, but if you take away the 30 on Thursday he was about the same as Wright, thats what the voters will use to justify it, just like FOY Wright was on the best team it didn't matter that he wasn't as valuable as Costner or Crittenton.

that may or may not be true (Childress certainly holds the overall record, not sure about freshman)... but it is a record for N.C. State players beating David Thompson and C.C. Harrison...

Hockey is the only sport I can think of where the MVP goes to a player on the losing team. Out of the 41 Conn Smythe winners, five of them were on the losing team. All but one of those five were goaltenders.
