CHICAGO, March 10 (UPI) -- A mail-bomb suspect who calls himself "The Bishop" quoted John Milton's "Paradise Lost" in one of his notes, the U.S. Postal Service said.
"It is better to reign in hell than serve in heaven," the mail-bomb suspect wrote in a threatening note to an investment firm, the Chicago Tribune reported Saturday.
Most of the communications have been threatening notes to investment firms, but the suspect also allegedly mailed two "functional but not set to detonate" letter bombs to firms in Denver and Kansas City, Mo., in January, postal investigator in Chicago said Friday.
Investigators released parts of letters sent by The Bishop since 2005 saying "Life is full of choices," and "Bang you're dead."
Authorities said they were going public with the investigation in the hope of a solid lead on the suspect. Many of the letters had Chicago area postmarks. A $100,000 has been offered.
He's like a super villain from a movie that spouts off a opus catchphrase before he attacks.
It's silly to think a media patron would turn his interests over and take revenge on the world like a main antagonist. 3/13/2007 7:19:03 PM |

He should rename himself Al Bishop. Otherwise, he'll get no press. 3/13/2007 7:25:29 PM |

Either they found out where the packages were sent from and talked to witnesses around that area
OR
They assembled a psychological profile on the guy and made a guess3/14/2007 2:49:42 PM |
