this crap happens to me 24/7. i try to open a new page and the page never opens. it also happens that a page will open up part of the way, then it just stops and the "loading..." on the tab just keeps spinning. if it does happen, all other pages i try to open will just sit there loading... as well. i have to hit the stop button wait for like 20 seconds and try again. and half the time it keeps the loading... junk.
i am on a wireless network if that matters.
anyone know how to fix this? 3/17/2007 3:10:05 PM |

not really. and the thing is, when i am downloading a large file like porn, there are no delays at all. it goes straight through and very fast i might add. i don't know what the deal is 3/17/2007 3:17:24 PM |

another description of what happens.
when i am loading a large page (e.g. a page with 10 pictures or more pictures on it) it will load the first couple of pictures just fine, then it will load the next couple dramatically slower, then it might load the next image in about 30 seconds, then it just dies. 3/17/2007 3:22:33 PM |

how much memory is FF using when this is happening?
does not sound network related considering other browsers and downloads work fine. Sounds like for some reason FireFox is rendering extremely slow.
have you tried removing firefox and installing the newest version?

i actually didn't want to switch to firefox, but there were so many problems with IE that i couldn't stand it anymore (actually my network connection would completely reset when i was using IE, which didn't happen with firefox). now i can't switch back because firefox is alot cleaner imo. 3/20/2007 9:00:38 PM |

You may want to start a fresh FF profile and see what happens. I've had residue from old extensions cause problems. Moving settings, bookmarks etc is easy enough with MozBackup.
