Some dude stole my certificate of citizenship and birth certificate at Denver's airport (he grabbed a carry-on duffel bag my wife was holding as I was taking a dump before our flight).

Cost of new birth certificate from Sweden = $20.00
Cost of copy of citizenship certificate= $220.00

Anyone else think that's a little fucking ridiculous?

No. You're lucky they didn't deport your ass.
Or arrest you as an enemy combatant, since not having your paperwork is suspicious behavior.

Fortunately, I had my passport with me. I haven't lived in Sweden since I was 6 months old. Just had the papers because I was moving. I'll probably never get the copy, don't really need it anyways. If anyone on here has citizenship papers stashed somewhere, make sure they're safe.
