my husband had this in his jeep wrangler, but traded for something with better gas mileage.
it's a bazooka, bought maybe three years ago - he rarely drove the vehicle, so the tube was rarely used. ready to hook up, wires included. he paid $200. make an offer.

I sold one on here for $25 last year - doubt you're gonna get much more than that

Does this thing need an external amp to drive it, or does it have an internal one?

^it has an internal one...if you have an after market head unit, then you shouldnt have to buy anything else...

if everything is stock, then you'll need an adapter which converts speaker level input to RCA. Its called a Line Output Converter i think. I got one for $10. (i cant tell from the pic whether one is between the wires)

this is a good sub for ppl who just to add some bass, and have no interest in ppl wanting to set off any alarms.

doing a "clean" wiring from the back of the car to the head unit sucks ass to do

but then again, it depends on the car

^^^^ Thanks for the info.

My car stereo is stock. Is the line output converter something I can splice into one of the wires running to the back deck speakers, or does it need to attach to the back of the head unit? A better question would be: can I install this using what's in the trunk, or am I going to have to run wires?

I think that I would have to run wires, because I don't believe that I have a 12V drop in the trunk to power the amp.

the line converter is exactly what you think it is, you splice it into the + and - of one of your rear speakers and it converts the signal over to the rca hookups
