If Huggins can get his K-State recruits(especially Beasley) to come with him, I bet WVU is top 5 preseason. Except for Young, everyone on WVU is coming back. 4/5/2007 4:04:38 PM |

But is a dominating monster. When me and some friends went to Oak Hill to watch games he (and Lawson) owned every basketball game.

You can roll your eyes at me all day long and my OPINION of MICHAEL BEASLEY will never change. I had the pleasure of watching him play for the Prep National title the second week of March in DC. The guy is a complete asshole with no dignity what-so-ever. I was actually so appauled by his behavior (both on and off the court over the two days we were there) that I wrote the AD at KState & Bobby "Bracket Poison" Huggins and told them that if I were an alum at KState that I would trash my season tickets because of this kid. If he comes here, I will be utterly ashamed of my university. I'd rather win the NIT every year than to start carting in kids like this to win. What an eyesore for the university as a whole.
If you know nothing about him, keep your rolly eyes to yourself 4/6/2007 10:54:00 PM |

Imagine that... a girl getting her panties in a bunch. Who said I don't know anything about Beasley or that my opinion of him is any different than yours? Anyway...
It is ridiculous that even the slightest, far-fetched possibility of signing (or even actually signing) a shady asshole character to play for NC State would make someone want to "burn my diploma and cut all ties with NC State University". Of course you do have a vagina... an overreaction like that should be expected.

^exactly
No- most high profile players aren't like that (Bird, Jordan, Nash, James, Nowitzki, Garnett, Duncan, Terry, Stackhouse, need I name more?) While these guys have larger than life personalities they are still likeable (even to the general public). I speak from experience about Stackhouse and especially Tim Duncan since I grew up in WS while he was in school at WF.
Even though I hate Carolina, there are few people who have ever worn that jersey who I would say are a stain on the university (even fewer at Duke and less at Wake b/c the school isn't as high profile) But I must say that I really have no desire for State to pick up someone who could end up being worse for our image than Chris Washburn.
I love how everything on this board revolves around me being a girl. I have seriously considered buying a new name and listing myself as male, so I can get rid of that stupid comeback. While OBVIOUSLY I wouldn't burn my diploma, that was the easiest way to put to words my feelings for Michael Beasley.
Do I think he'll come to NCSU?--No, more than likely he'll follow the snake in the grass Huggins to WVU. Honestly, they make a good pair. But then again, since our new head coach's son is facing a laundry list of criminal charges, maybe he would fit in at State. Seems like these days we'd sell the collective soul of the student body to beat Carolina. 4/8/2007 12:26:44 AM |

P.S. since women don't usually know about sports, I'll tell you upfront that you would be hard pressed to find a better person than Dungy.
P.P.S. Stackhouse is kind a douchebag too. So is Jordan. 4/8/2007 1:51:27 AM |

guys, the comparison between sid's son and dungy's son needs to stop. it's completely different.
killing yourself != being a drug dealer who hits people w/ bottles while holding them up at gunpoint.

The point isn't to say they are the same, it's showing how parental influence isn't what always guides an ADULT's actions.
And f I had to guess, I would say that drugs were involved in both cases. 4/8/2007 2:02:22 AM |

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I fail to see why the actions of a man's ADULT son have to reflect on the parent.
Try putting it in a non-sports context. Let's say that the dean of the WFU med school had a son who knocked off a liquor store. Would that in any way reflect on the school? I don't think so. So why does Sid's son, who doesn't go to our school or have any tie to our basketball program other than being a family member of the coach, become such a huge black eye for our program?4/8/2007 10:38:09 AM |
