We were thinking about going tomorrow, just as something to do. I've been to the Atlanta one numerous times and I know this one is supposed to suck in comparison, but still. Anyone been? $12 seems really steep, more than I ever paid in ATL. Are there any discount tickets available? Tomorrow is bring Lowe's food stuff for a discount, but it didn't say how much...any help appreciated! 4/6/2007 10:23:13 PM |

There are discounts if you order, say, a 4-day pass or a season pass online, but I'm not sure if it's processed immediately.
It's small, yeah, definitely less than the one in Charlotte (I think) earlier this year (or late last year). Still, there's Greycat Designs (this is Lady Greycat's last faire, btw), Catskill Mountain, Tudor Shoppe, etc...not sure if you've seen the vendor list yet.
Though I can't say I've been to many faires, it's been pretty good so far. Went last week Saturday, this week Friday, going this weekend, and probably next Saturday too.
Sadly, there's a lack of footwear vendors there. Catskill is awesome, but I just can't afford them right now. 4/7/2007 4:28:59 AM |

Thanks you to Sadi for actually answering my question and not just pissing around in THE LOUNGE. 4/7/2007 6:20:09 AM |

There was a student discount day last weekend where they were $6. That doesn't help you now, but maybe you can look out for it next year. 4/7/2007 10:05:00 AM |

The one in Raleigh is very much so smaller than the one in Concord (Charlotte) in the falls. That one is on a permanent site and keeps expanding its reach every year, it seems.

Honestly, it's probably best to just wait and then make a trip down to Concord/Charlotte in the fall - there's a great deal more things that you can do there. Shows, jousting, shopping, and food & drink.
The London Broil is probably the best show (has been for years) at least in my opinion at the Charlotte fair (http://www.thelondonbroilshow.com/). 4/7/2007 12:33:43 PM |

Oh yeah, that Charlotte one was the other one I went to. Very nice place, lots of variety. 4/9/2007 12:08:57 AM |
