^^haha, where the fuck are you buying your Yamaha 90hp 2-stroke engines from? That engine is worth about 5 grand brand new

its a nice boat, nonetheless, you could probably get $10,000 for it

^ Yea they have gone down some recently, I still prefer the 2 stroke on this boat because the gas milage is only slightly better on the 4stroke (see scout's yamaha performance guide) and the pickup to get on plane is great with the 2 stroke. Also, you generally dont have to worry about as many major problems with a 2stroke as the oil is already mixed in the gas. The main thing I like about four strokes is they are really quiet (I thought my engine was quiet until I heard the 100 4stroke yamaha)

The boat wasn't designed for a 4-stroke. But man if I was in the market for a small boat, I would give this a look. Nice ride man.

Not to my personal liking, but a damn good boat.

Pardon me while I dump this in reverse to the top.

Good luck on the sale. Price isn't really off base at all...except for the typical "gimme" Tdub assholes.

Im guessing if anyone knows anything about scout boats they know it is. However, if u don't have any experience with them, yes it is very seaworthy and has a very nice design. The things I am most impressed with are how steady it is when people are walking around it (especially for its size) and how the hull design allows it to handle wakes/rough seas that many boats in its class can not.

scouts are great and very seaworthy. they are typically wider and heaver than a lot of CC fishing boats (of course this is not always true), making for a smooth ride. @ 17 feet with a 90 hp, you ride just fine too

btw, my dad is thinking it over. he wants more of a v or deep-v, and our neighbor has an old POS that he's selling for $1000 and for some reason my dad wants to splurge on that, which baffles my mind.

^ Mainly Freshwater, it was in salt water (manns harbor) about 5 times mainly in 2000-2001 but was flushed out after each use.
