Why are they attacking Bush? All of his stands on immigration don't agree with them, but the biggest thing -- amnesty -- is exactly what they want and need.

Win the big battles, first, then the small ones. Once people see that the country won't suddenly collapse and that amnesty stops a lot of *harmful* illegal behavior, the outcry will subside and the issue will go on the back burner again.

The market will be free again to operate, businesses will get their labor, people will get their cheap goods and services. It's win-win-win.

hey, there's a great idea. grant amnesty to millions of people who BROKE OUR LAWS. That'll certainly make other people not want to break our immigration laws
