I wasn't really familiar with recruiting companies and what they did but I just recently got a job with Sony Ericsson through this recruiting company called Aerotek and the guy asked if I knew any other people who needed jobs. I graduated in December and now have a job, but I know there are other people who have graduated and are looking for a job so I just thought I would pass the recruiter's name on. The guy is Jonathan Self and he did a really good job of getting me the job that I wanted. If you are looking for a job, I would suggest contacting him at 919-816-1503 or email him your resume at joself@aerotek.com. Again I'm just trying trying to help other people get jobs cause it took longer than expected for me to get a job and I have a degree in CPE and EE. If he happens to mention where you got his name just say you heard it off The Wolf Web. Hope he can help you like he did me. 4/23/2007 9:40:29 PM |

Well goin by my experience with graduating and having the parents cut you off and you being left with hardly any money to get by, I would recommend getting a job ASAP. The average job hunt takes 6 months, use this guy to help speed that up. I mean what harm can it do if you are jobless and broke? 4/23/2007 11:36:24 PM |

Is this a contracting company? If so, I'd avoid going through them if possible. 4/24/2007 9:40:12 AM |

Aerotek is a bunch of relentless headhunters. I don't know where they got my resume from, but they hounded me for almost 2 years. I hope you realize they are getting 20% of what your salary would have been if you found the job on your own. 4/24/2007 9:52:07 AM |

They got me a job I wouldn't have gotten otherwise b/c Sony Ericsson hires a bunch of contract workers. 4/24/2007 7:00:49 PM |

Yeah, I was the same way, except I was already working at the company as an intern and knew a ton of people there. It was just that company's policy to hire contractors, so I had to find a fucking contracting company and give them 20% of my pay. In return for 20% of my pay they gave me the following awesome benefits
0% 401K matching 0 sick days 0 vacation days 0 holidays No health insurance No detal insurance No vision insurance
Pretty sweet deal. 4/24/2007 7:22:49 PM |

It was hard to find companies that did not require asstons of experience. Jonathan Self with Aerotek helped me find it. Though paying ~$100 a month for benefits kinda sucks, at least I have the money to pay now for it since I have a job. 4/26/2007 7:35:41 AM |

^^ Not sure how you got roped into that, doenst sound real, but if it is...look into being a 1099 employee. Its being self-contractor, you negotiate the rate, but the company doesnt pay any social security, health, retirement, etc. But you get a much higher hourly rate 4/26/2007 1:28:09 PM |
