I have putty and Xwin32 installed onto my computer yet I still can not run linux applications from the command line once i log onto my EOS account thru putty.
for example i'll try to run nedit and it will say
"NEdit: Can't open display" and quit. What else do i need to do in order to get this working 4/24/2007 9:15:53 PM |

often I have to reserve a VCL slot for apps to work. If not, I usually get a memory error 4/24/2007 11:49:17 PM |

Just out of curiosity you do have Xwin32 running while you are trying to do this, correct? Just installing it doesn't help, it has to be running from what I remember. 4/25/2007 12:05:07 AM |
