I have putty and Xwin32 installed onto my computer yet I still can not run linux applications from the command line once i log onto my EOS account thru putty.

for example i'll try to run nedit and it will say

"NEdit: Can't open display" and quit. What else do i need to do in order to get this working

often I have to reserve a VCL slot for apps to work. If not, I usually get a memory error

Just out of curiosity you do have Xwin32 running while you are trying to do this, correct? Just installing it doesn't help, it has to be running from what I remember.
