see, if he were smart and wanted to fake it, he would've cut his ankle a little bit so that it'd bleed through for real. that's what i would've done anyway.
thus, i believe the blood is real blood, but the story may or may not be true. 4/27/2007 1:09:48 PM |

last time i checked, the point of the hall of fame was not to boost the esteem of past baseball players.4/27/2007 1:11:45 PM |

Or it was blood seeping through his sock from the incision in his ankle where they sutured it? (lots of sp?)

I'm telling you guys, sutures bleed. Especially sutures put in place hours before the opening pitch. 4/27/2007 2:06:44 PM |

Why are you so shocked it is at the HOF? Have you ever been to Cooperstown. They have artifacts from practically every big story in baseball history whether it be socks, batting gloves, uniform pants, batting helmets, etc, etc... That was one of the biggest stories of the last 25 years so it makes sense it is there.
The baseball HOF (and town of Cooperstown) is by far the best sports HOF in the world.

^^i believe you have made that point, stop crying about a piece of baseball history being in the hall of fame
i mean, if you want, we can take out all the other inanimate objects too, like all the bats that hit famous homeruns and balls that were hit
