I'm not sure i'll sell this here, but here's what it is-

Area 51m laptop
3.2 Ghz P4 processor
1 gig ram
internal wireless (added after purchase)
DVD/CD combo burner.
17" screen (not glossy)
60 GB harddrive

Comes with:
TV tuner (if i can find it- didnt come with cords though)
IR remote
I"ll put it back on the OS that came with it (Win XP home with legit key) if I can.
2 AC adaptors (one of which is in perfect condition, the other of which has a fan that's going but it serves as a good backup)

It is a functional laptop. It does have some issues though and I'll be upfront about that.
1. Battery latch = broken. (meaning you have to rig the battery to stay in)
2. battery life = none too good.
3. The case is not banged up in any really significant way (functionality), but it is silver and that didnt wear well, there's also a crack in the side of the screen housing that neither I nor the actual company believe will pose any problem with the screen etc.
4. Under warranty work has been done on it- It's had the mobo/vidcard/cd drive replaced. It originally had an NVidea graphics card and now has an ATI radeon 9600.

I've been using it for school work and it's fine for that, but there seem to be some driver issues going on in regards to getting games to work (I've only tried to get WoW to run so other things may run fine).

Selling as is- but I do reiterate it boots, and functions in general.

If prices reach above what use it is to me (which it is still useful), it will be availible around May 15th/16th - after the semester ends and I can get all my data off it and format it.

wow, seems like everyone I've heard with an alienware has had to have work done on it. Did you ever have any overheating issues?

It gets hot yes, but I've never had it shut down or crash due to that. I highly recommend table not your lap.

And re bids so far- we're not at a threshhold yet where I'm willing to let go of it. I know better than to expect to get anywhere near the purchase price or half of that for this laptop but i'm not going to spring for 2 digit prices.
