The College Libertarians' TASER raffle is nearing its conclusion. The drawing will be held tomorrow. This could be your last chance to purchase tickets.

This is the TASER that is at stake.



When the TASER C2 was first announced it caused quite a bit of controversy, being TASER international's first product targeted primarily at consumers. The C2 comes in four different colors, Black, Silver, Blue or Pink. The winner of our raffle will be able to select the color of their choice.

"Raleigh, NC: The College Libertarians stand first and foremost for the rights of each individual to life, liberty and property. We recognize that from time to time it is necessary to defend these rights from violent criminals. Some have suggested that the only way to protect peaceful, law-abiding citizens is to restrict access to the tools required for self-defense. They contend that it is primarily the job of the courts and police to provide protection from criminals to lawful individuals. We reject this notion out of hand. According to Cameron Gower, President of the College Libertarians, “it is neither feasible nor desirable to have a police force powerful enough and large enough to be everywhere at all times.” “Furthermore,” states Gower “laws to disarm citizens, by definition, will only disarm law-abiding citizens, leaving them defenseless against criminals who will undoubtedly retain their arms.” We support any individual who wishes to take responsibility for their own safety and security and we urge police to work with the public to insure that criminals do not find a ready supply of easy victims. To raise awareness about issues surrounding the right to keep and bear arms and to raise funds for our outreach activities, the College Libertarians have decided to raffle off a new TASER C2. This defensive weapon comes factory-locked but can quickly be rendered operable using a security code obtained by undergoing a criminal background check. Raffle tickets will sell for $2 to men and $1 to women."

You may remember a few years ago when we raffled off an SKS. I'm not sure what Mosin-Nagant you're talking about.

And pink TASERs are badass. Can you imagine how humiliating it would be to be incapacitated by a pink TASER?
