What are some books or other devotional material for kids from 1st grade all the way to high school? Something that can be a fun 15-20 mins. I have a few ideas, but any of y'all have some suggestions.
I already have Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul down... 5/19/2007 1:45:23 PM |

Let your kids choose their own religion.
but if you feel like indoctrinating the rugrats before they're old enough to know better and object, I'd suggest contacting a church you like and getting suggestions from them. 5/19/2007 2:15:49 PM |

This isn't for my own kids. I'm working at a church camp this summer.
I should've known that right off the bat someone would bring up don't force them blah blah blah.
Anyway, as a counselor at a summer church camp we have time before the cabin goes to sleep to have a devotional time with the kids. I'm looking for stories to tell that can teach a lesson about how your faith can grow every day.
Just looking to see if anyone else has been in this situation and has recomendations. 5/19/2007 2:31:42 PM |

The KJV has some really awesome stories, too.
Don't water down one of the world's best books. Read it to them.
Yes, I'm serious. The KJV teaches about God, but it also teaches about the beauty of our language. 5/20/2007 6:49:05 PM |

I love how the heathen's speech bubble capitalizes "He," even though she's a non-believer.
I'd also like to point out that this little comic specifically recommends the KJV. 5/20/2007 11:28:28 PM |

1. I love Bobby for posting that
2. Why the fuck does Grandpa have an eyepatch? That is the most random shit ever.
3. If you read it back out loud with little girl voices, it's 10x funnier.
4. The best pane is the "Who's Jesus?" pane.

Thanks for help y'all...My biggest problem was finding things for little kids, for teens it was easy cause I have a lot of books that were given to me when I got confirmed and when I graduated high school.
I ended up getting a kids devotional bible, and a cute little book called "God's little Intruction Book for Kids"
Oh and thanks to everyone who actually kept this a Lounge thread and some people just didn't even have the self control to keep chit chat shit out of here.

anyhow, this is the one i think would be great for late nights around the campfire.
or maybe in dark creaky cabins deep in the woods
