my dad is an architect and i work for him in marketing and rendering. our name Oakley Collier Architects, PA. he said professional association.

you use PE after someone's name, like John Doe, PE

you use AIA or RA (registered architect) after someone's name, like Tim Oakley, AIA

the PA follows a company name (which can be an individual's name also).
