trying to softmod my xbox

Need:
Action Replay
and
Mechassault or Splinter Cell or Agent Under Fire

not looking to spend much on these since I can get them from Gamestop or Ebay for cheap

a memory card and mech assault is all you need. I've got all the stuff to do it and I'll do it at my place if you bring me food while I do it.

I don't have a desktop PC so I can't hot-swap. I also don't have the right screwdriver to open my xbox.

The biggest reason i want to mod is so i can put a SNES emulator in my living room.

^Three questions:
1. Where do you live.
2. When can you do this.
3. What kind of food do you want.

also, you have to use a certain version of mechassault to do it (they patched it in later versions)

I used splinter cell and it worked great. it can be found at any gamestop for <$5

If anyone has just the Action Replay, I can find a usable game.

If you don't want to part with it, I could borrow it or just bring my xbox to you.

I believe I still have my Action Replay for my Xbox. I used to use it to "hack" PSO savegames and dupe items. Actually, it was more like shadow copying everything using an exploit in the character moving system.

Is it this that you're referring to? Just making certain.

i have a usb->xbox adapter that i made myself to softmod my xbox if you want it

and the right version of mechassault too if you still need that

Thanks, but Axelay is going to let me borrow his Action Replay.

I tried making the usb->xbox adapter myself, but the usb extension cable i was using had wrongly-colored wires. Long story short, I fried my only Flash drive. (and ruined two perfectly good cables)

I had a few hiccups, but my xbox now boots to EvoX. Right now I'm transferring Super Mario War to the xbox HD over ftp.

Seotaji if you want to get you box modded you can bring it to my apartment sometime and I will do it for you. At least until I give Axelay his Action Replay back. (thanks again, btw)

I'd pretty easy. just download the h4x0r files, copy 'em to the xbox with AR, and then load the save game

^ In theory it's that easy, but there are some small details you need to know to make it easier.

sometimes the AR can corrupt the larger gamesaves needed to mod, and figuring out how to ftp can be confusing
