I know this is a longshot but I thought that I would give it a try.

I am looking for a wood lathe. Good shape and variable speed.
I would prefer a floor standing model and any tools that come with it would be a bonus.

And it would be nice if it were a name brand and not too old.

have you tried craigslist... there are a lot of tools on there

I have.
There are a couple but one looks like my grandfather would have had it and a few are for brakes.

Not a lot of these in this area right now.
