Some friends and I are planning a weekend backpacking trip and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good loops to do in a few days. I've done the Wilson Creek area before and we were discussing Linville Gorge. It would be great if there were waterfalls/swimming holes on the route too. We'd like to keep it in NC or VA. 6/3/2007 12:58:17 PM |

Other than the ones you mentioned Id recommend Big Creek in Smoky Mtn Park
Also Grayson Highlands in VA and Shining Rock Wilderness are probably my two favorite places but they dont really have good places to swim. 6/3/2007 1:45:35 PM |
