Hi I am an engineering student getting ready to start my senior project. I need anything electrical that you have that works. It can be lamps, tv's, VCR's, kitchen appliances, pretty much anything with a plug that works. I live close to campus, delivery is a bonus or I can pick it up if it isn't far away. Let me know what you have.

I can't afford to pay money, it doesn't have to be great items, just things with plugs that work.

yea... but you shouldnt be asking them to deliver at all

thats just plain selfish of you to ask for free stuff and have them deliver

I'm not trying to be selfish, if the people wanting to donate though are students then there is a good chance my place would be on their way to or away from school. I said I would pick it up if it was close by.

I heard that Craig's List people are scary. I figured most of you would live near me and I could get something that plugs in, whether it just be an alarm clock or something with a plug; something electrical.

Why does it have to work?

How hard is it to just buy a bunch of cheap lamps, if lamps will do what you want?

I ended up going to Wal-mart and getting a cheap alarm clock. I'd like to know that it worked before I took it apart so that I will sort of know where the problem is. I already have a motor I took out of a fan that I got back when I lived in the non-air conditioned dorms.

go somewhere like allelectronics.com or some other discount site, if you can't afford that then you probably should drop out of engineering and go take some financial classes to learn how to manage your money

but you have to be joking so that website will do you no good

wtf? you broke it when you took it apart, or it was broke when you bought it?

btw, no company is going to care that you took apart a blender and put it back together. build your own death ray from scratch, and then you might be getting somewhere.

The only thing I ever heard about Craig's List is that my buddies used it to have sex with women for free. They said some of the women were very trashy and one of them stole from him.

Thanks for the advice about allelectronics.com, I never heard of this site but I will look into it. I'm just trying to salvage some parts as cheaply as possible. I really don't want to spend my senior year living on Ramen.
