correctional officer at maximum security prison, and in every day with the population for
years. the guy was 300 pounds and medically unfit to do any other law enforcement.
he finally had to retire for medical reasons when he had to start carrying oxygen with him
to work.

you made fun of HockeyRoman for being a "half-assed meteorologist" ... implying that

If I were to do the same with some group that you supported or felt was "underserved," you would be all up in arms about my ignorant stereotyping. Police officers deal with a lot of speeding tickets and the like--nobody's in prison for speeding tickets.

I could tell you about the times I've dragged fighting drunk inmates out of cells during an extraction--they were drunk on homemade mash liquor. I could tell you about the fights I broken up with inmates slinging blood all over the place from being cut with halves of an aluminum can in each hand for slicing. I could tell you about the commendation I received when my unit searched for and found--alive--a missing ten-year-old girl. I could tell you about the inmate that was killed in my unit when another inmate hit him in the back of the head with a baseball bat. I could tell you about the escape attempt I stopped. And on and on and on. And you haven't even considered the ongoing training--corrections is a hell of a lot more than paperwork, bitch. You don't know shit.
