Please help me. I restored my laptop to the original state it came in and now the internet doesn't work;wired and wireless. I have Windows XP with service pack two installed. I have it set using a router and have both my desktop and laptop hooked up to this. I am typing on my desktop at the moment. Before the system restore, I was able connect to both the wired and wireless no problems. Now what happens is the wired connection is constantly searching for an IP address and the wireless is doing the same thing. I tried to connect to other open wireless networks but that doesn't work either. 6/18/2007 11:50:30 AM |

Drivers.
Right click My Computer and go to Properties.
Then go to the hardware tab
then click the device manager button
then look for anything yellow. Yellow = bad.
[Edited on June 18, 2007 at 3:28 PM. Reason : and this may not be the issue, but its pretty likely. If you see no yellow, come back.] 6/18/2007 3:05:25 PM |
