This is probably the only thing that would get me to vote for her:

That prospect even has some Democrats hoping that Mrs. Clinton will not win, and as the campaign gathers pace, memories of the mistakes and scandals of the 1990s will be revived by Republicans."

it still irks me how big of a deal was made over this.

i would vote for a woman but i am hesitant about voting for Hillary for multiple reason. I really do not like how it seems the same lineage of people are recurrently being the ones elected into power. It is like we are turning into an elected monarchy

She is not her husband and anyone who thinks they're getting two-for-one obviously doesn't follow Hillary Clinton that much. She'll use him as a foreign envoy for sure, but not in a way that any other Democratic president couldn't.

imagine Hill running VP for Obama, getting two terms

and then two of her own top of that. Bill would be in there for a total of 24 years

^^ She has too much ego for that.

Bill won't be any where near the White House under a HRC administration, I don't know where people are getting this wishful thinking from. She's the President, she's going to want to run shit, she's not going to play second fiddle to the man who embarrased her in front of the entire nation. She's smart enough to know that he is a political asset but I wouldn't over-estimate her eagerness to utilize him.

i think they run it as a team. we got this in Bill's 8 years, and it will be the same case if she wins.

i wouldn't worry. Bill won't let her do too much damage.

either we get a handful of incredibly intelligent people in the white house via Bill and Barrack-- who will be waaaay more free market than the 'omf dey is commiez' crowd believes,

or we get some people we can count on to be fiscal conservatives via Rudy.

its looking up.

It had more to do with PARENTING than it did the community I grew up in.

When I needed something my mother provided by working.. not sticking her handout.

So you didn't also get support from classmates, their parents, neighbors, teachers, etc.? It takes a village doesn't refer to money.

It refers to shared responsibility, and I disagree with it. Raising YOUR kid is no ones elses job but YOURS. It was your decision and its your responsibility.

What happens when you share responsbility and something goes wrong? No one takes the blame, and no one is held accountable. Great plan.

she's not republican. she's just insane. the only thing im partially in agreement with her on is universal health care, but her plan is wacked.

she's a power hungry politician, that's why i dont want her in office and i sure as shit dont trust her. she's being backed by a few very wealthy benefactors and as such she's going to have to pay back those benefactors with policy.

you must not have read his post

you are a fool if you vote for Hillary as a proxy vote for Bill.

HAHA

I think Bill was way overly maligned by the right (and not just for getting his duck sick). While hardly my political idol, we could've done much worse for ourselves.

But his wife sucks big time.

While I maintain that it is long overdue for a woman prez I am not convinced that Hillary is the appropriate first woman in the post. She gives me similar eerie chill to Dick Chaney but at least she smiles everyone once in a while. She panders to a point of groveling to every single group she is speaking to (while I am sure some would say they all do). But from what I have seen Hillary is the worst about it.

i was in the gym tonight and overheard two chicks talking...

one said "I really hope Hillary Clinton doesn't get elected President."

[pause]

"Really, I just don't want a woman as President."

the other chick says:

"Yeah, women are too crazy and emotional to be President!"

hahahaha

Look at her votes and look at her stances. She is bringing back Goldwater republicanism veiled as liberal policies.

And Eyedr, It takes a village didn't mention social programs. If you actually took the time to read the book instead of trying to find some political problem with it, you'd see that she is talking about strong communities, jobs, schools, families, etc. It wasn't some book at welfare.

she's prob the least of a dirty commie out of the Dem field, but hardly "bringing back Goldwater Republicanism".

I think you read it wrong. She is just like her husband. Her stances change with the tide of public opinion.

because their vote DOES count for something, i don't give a shit about how they feel about voting. a million people who vote not thinking their vote counts for something, still vote. trying to convince people not to vote because their vote doesn't count is contrary to what i think is right. i think it is important for our country that as many people vote as possible and that people are informed about what they're voting about.

i definitely agree in principle but you and i know thats not how it actually is...so just because most people should vote and be informed doesnt mean they are informed or will vote...so there are plenty of cases were votes dont really matter

voting is a right that people long struggled to attain...however its still a right, not a duty or responsibility that you have to do...go out there and vote if you want, but realize there are plenty of people who voice their opinion by not voting

In that sense, yes I could agree with you. But Goldwater can HARDLY be considered a republican by today's party lines. Hell, i'd consider him an independent more than anything else. But even then, Hillary has been threading a needle between conservative and socialist views. I don't have huge issues with her policies, so much as I have huge issues with her personality/ego/persona.

^I agree with you. Can I ask who you feel is that person. Im not sure I see any would can do that, esp not with the media climate. 24hrs "debate" style about EVERYTHING.

honestly i dont know...sometimes i feel the same way(about the media)....i guess hillary is like the worst of the bad choices

i just wish we could know who the democratic and republican nominee would be so we could decide which of the 2 is the best choice....maybe there will be a 3rd party nominee...i wish i knew...
