there could be tons of reasons:

1. got it as a gift
2. someone else had it didnt want it, so gave it to me for free
3. i bought it without even viewing it because I love spending money on the unknown
4. maybe I love stuff I hate
etc


and its #2 in this particular case, but #4 kind of applies too

It's amazing that this movie feels short at almost 3 hours long.

A friend gave me Scratch and Style Wars to watch. I'll get to them at some point in the next few weeks.

I'd like to add Sick, Hated, and Chicken Hawk to this thread. I highly recommend any of those for a stellar first date.

about fifteen minutes through Land Without Bread I started laughing, and was unable to stop for the rest of it - I kinda felt like a horrible person, but meh, the juxtaposition of homeboy's voice with the images on screen was just unbelievably funny to me at the time.

^^ While that isn't a documentary, I would have to recommend "In the Shadow of the Moon" whenever it is released in theaters (and I imagine it will end up getting a wide release). http://imdb.com/title/tt0925248/ Hands down the best documentary related to space travel. Some of the footage is incredible.

also: one that wasn't mentioned that i've always liked is "paradise lost: the child murders at robin hood hills". i saw it on hbo in the 90s. basically how a town needed a scapegoat for a ghastly murder of some kids and they found the kids at the local high school who listened to metallica and wore black to peg it on.

^I watched that doc and it was pretty intense.

Didn't the three that got convicted turn out to be innocent and the father of one of the victims was the real murderer, I don't remember it much its been a while.
