Reqiuem For a Dream and House of Sand and Fog would be my top ones. Nothing good happens to those people.
Oh, and The Last King of Scotland. There's one part in that movie that's pretty much going to haunt me for the rest of my life.

Happiness.

its a really fucked up movie.

for example, a kid's father is caught molesting other kids, and the kid is sad/hurt that the father didnt molest him "I'm I not good enough??" etc. really fucked up, oh, and its supposed to be a comedy.. haha, while there are some really funny scenes in it, the fuckedupedness overpowers it

The three I was gonna name have already been mentioned...House of Sand and Fog, In the Bedroom, and Dancer in the Dark. Esp Dancer

And though it wasn't completely empty, when I finished watching Match Point I wasn't particularly happy with the world.

Eraserhead
Leaving Las Vegas

Smoking Aces - because of how high my expectations were and how phenomenally bad the movie actually is.

Not sure exactly what you mean by "empty soul"...

Children of Men I found to be very intense from start to finish, I felt spiritually exhausted afterwards if that makes sense.

28 Days Later left me pretty depressed with its bleak view of human violence.

Kids

the funny part is that the writer, Harmony Korine, wrote it about stuff he saw growing up around Nashville (and then set it in NYC), and he is about my age, and I grew up around Nashville... I think we hung with different crowds for the most part. haha

Honestly, Magnolia is the only movie that left me feeling anything like that. I've seen most every fucked up "disturbing" movie around and mostly I just laugh and/or get a semi while I watch.

I fucking LOVE Magnolia, but its such a divisive movie, seems like people either love it or think its complete garbage. And I mean people that have a lot of other movies they like in common... for some reason this one splits right down the middle

Kids
Crash
Requiem for a Dream
Traffic

In The Rules of Attraction, I think there's a scene where the girl committed suicide in a bathtub, not sure though. That scene makes me cringe.

Vanilla Sky

That's what I think of at the moment.
