A-B-Sea is developing the world’s first GPS-based wireless underwater navigation and communication system.

We are seeking one or more part-time and/or full-time software professionals to develop “C” language procedures, algorithms and code for use in our underwater positioning and navigation products. Alternatively, 8051 assembly language may be used, based on mutual assessment and agreement.

The “C” language source will be compiled and assembled to target a dual 8051 embedded microprocessor system. Software development can be performed at home or at our office at 100 Capitola Drive, Durham NC. Periodically, software developers will work with hardware developers to test and debug the system.

Candidates should be self-motivated and comfortable working very independently. Salary range is $20 to $30 per hour depending on experience.
This is a ground-floor start-up company opportunity; stock option grants can be negotiated as a portion of compensation.

Please e-mail resumes to: abasilico@a-b-sea.com

I'm just curious... Do GPS signals travel through (even relatively shallow depths of) water?
