i once woke up in a pile of dismantled hard-drives after a couple ambien. As confused as I was, nothing compared to when I walked to the bathroom and found that I had apparently constructed a doorbell out things I pulled out of the dishwasher

i never remember crap from doing this, my memory goes dead about 15 minutes after ingestion.

i've ended up in other rooms numerous times, wandered around the house, etc.

ambien is a hell of a drug. I took one and watched 'waiting' once... I got pissed off and yelled at my roommate when the movie was over because I wanted it to be longer. I guess it shut down the part of my brain that recognizes credits.

yeah, this shit needs to stop. woke up with a knot on my head the other night. i started wondering around the room, and totally ate it banging my head against the wall (or so i'm told by someone else). ambien takes away your sense of balance, and combine that with me being on crutches=FTL!

oh, and two weeks ago i did some ninja water heater adjustments and fixed a hose on the washing machine. NO MEMORY.

it's kinda funny and scary at the same time.

Did you only start taking/needing the sleeping pills after the last accident? I know it sucked for me when I quit taking them for a few days but I sleep 100x better now without them.

...and don't wake up not remembering shit lol

No kidding.

My mom takes two ambien, some pain pills, some tranqs, and still can't sleep well most nights. 5-6 hrs is a good night.

She's got minor brain lesions from chronic lack of sleep.

But it's fun as hell to torment awake people who've taken sleeping pills. Cold meds, too.

Once my gf at the time took an ambien and decided she wasn't sleepy.. we were at my place at the beach. About an hour later she tells me there's people outside walking around in the parking lot. I think oh, well, ok, who cares..it's a condo, of course people are walking around. I go look outside and don't see a damn person anywhere and remember I'm living in a retirement community and its like 2am, no way in hell anybody is up. We get in a fight about it and she still swears to this day people were out there. I might have believed her..until her entire class of pre-schoolers apparently showed up on the back balcony..but wouldn't come in..

just go to the Student Health Center (or any Sleep Clinic - there's one in Cary) and tell 'em you have trouble sleeping

say that the problem is falling asleep, rather than waking up in the middle of the night...they prescribe different medicines for the two

then hope they give you Ambien...that's the first thing they gave me

insurance covers it

Yes, weird things happen after sleeping pills. I have never taken one since I took my first one. I was sitting on my bed staring at a pic of my bf on my wall and thinking "Wow, that's a nice looking fella, who is he?" I had forgotten who my boyfriend was! Then I laid down, left my night stand light on, woke up and had to pee. I tried to get off the bed... on the wrong side, and smacked my face into the wall.
