So I'm trying to interface with an Oracle database table that is 1.3 mil rows x 20 columns. Even if I stratify it down to smaller chunks with targeted queries (still hundreds of thousands of lines), it still crashes my application.

Is it my work computer? It's um a P4 2.40 ghz and 512 mb of RAM. What other software can I use instead?
