go check out the NCSU Surplus Sale on Fridays. You can usually find power adapters for various products there and you can buy them for a buck. it's worth a shot before you pony up for a brand new one. Just be sure you write down exactly the information you need in order to know what kind of adapter to get. Plugging in the wrong type will usually fux0r your hardware. Here's a few things to write down:
Input (Volts) Output (volts [DC or AC?]) Output (amps) The little (+)---(-)---(o) thingy. Needs to match exactly Plug size. This will be harder to figure out, since it isn't written on the device. Just look at the end of the plug part that plugs into your device and remember what it looks like. Is it small / big? Black, yellow, red, white? 7/2/2007 9:25:13 PM |
