I have Vista ultimate and every time I plug in my iPod I get this box that pops up.



When I am syncing it also pops and causes the transfer to hang sometimes and takes forever.
Never had the issue with XP.

Has anyone else come across this problem?

My flash drive does that same thing when I connect it to a Vista computer, I've always wondered what was causing that myself.

I usually just ignore it. If there is a fix out there, it would be helpful.

make sure vista is up to date. there was a patch a while back that fixed some ipod thing.

I'm all updated - I've found some forums that say even after the update people are having issues.

This is annoying! To transfer 13 songs its going to take about 15min to go through finding the device not finding it - wanting to fix it and so on.

^ What generation ipod is it? I have a 60 gig video i use with Vista ultimate 64 bit and haven't run into this problem. Although it was after that fix was released.

For anyone that may have this issue in the future with Vista- I had to go in and change my timezone on my clock - reboot and then change it back and it worked.

I am dead serious - I laughed when the Mac support chic asked me to do it but it worked!
