Hopefully I'll actually be able to see him play more games this year.

Also, I'd put Rivers above McNabb in that list. I think Mcnabb's best days are behind him. Arguably I could put him above Palmer as well, but at this point that's a toss up. 7/10/2007 7:52:54 AM |

I'd put Hasselbeck over Rivers
I mean I love Rivers but he hasn't really done anything with any type of longevity 7/10/2007 9:59:33 AM |

The article rates teams by overall position strength, meaning they factor in the quality of the backups. Rivers has one of the best backup QB's behind him in Billy Volek. That probably boosted him past Hasselbeck and Bulger.
Rivers is poised to have a huge year with Norv calling the plays. That combination should make last year's best offense only more dominant. If somebody will just step up and become the go-to reciever, the offense could set some scoring records. 7/10/2007 11:16:03 AM |

he was better than marc bulger coming out of college.
you have to be kidding me if you were starting a team and would take bulger over rivers. bulger has certainly accomplished more than rivers so far, but give rivers a few years. by that time there won't be anyone outside of st. louis making the argument that bulger is better.

What's with the Donovan McNabb hate?
Before he went down last season and Jeff Garcia took the reigns, McNabb was having an MVP-like season. 7/10/2007 3:02:20 PM |

its not all about stats...vick just knows how to win
course if he does get good stats one game, it IS About the stats
and if he has bad stats, its clearly his team's fault 7/10/2007 4:34:57 PM |

^because with some shitty browsers it makes a really wide window which affects what you can read without scrolling further down the page
of course modern browsers like Internet Explorer 7.0 automatically make it fit

well my Vick praise posts are complete sarcasm
however knowing the criteria for this list I dont see how the Panthers arent at least 10th...aside from having a pretty good QB who had an off year last season, he does have a couple NFC title appearances and a SB appearance...and our backup QB threw for 65% completion last year behind a shitty O-Line, right? How the fuck is Billy Volek better than David Carr? 7/11/2007 10:26:58 AM |
