Just out of curiosity, how much difference does a "nice" putter have from a free simple putter like the hand me down I got from my dad? Does it "feel" better or do you gain some kind of elevated putting control? I'm just curious because I've always played with the one my dad gave me.

all clubs in general are personal preference.

compare old clubs to new, and most likely you will like the new ones. technology has came a long way.

but some swear by some cheap simple putter. i use to use an old 1950s one for a while. it worked great but i got a new one last christmas that i like even better.

you should go out to some golf shops and put around.

putters dont come cheap, so you might not find it worth the money for something that may not make a difference
