I was wondering. What is the process of getting another undergraduate degree from State if you have already graduated from here. Do you have reapply all over again with a highschool transcript etc etc. 7/16/2007 7:20:04 PM |

Are you sure you just can't get a graduate degree in your new field after taking a few prereqs? That's much better than doing another undergraduate.

Hmm, graduate school I guess it would be the same thing since you can take undergrad classes. Also, would you happen to start with a new GPA. 7/17/2007 7:04:07 AM |

if you want to go to graduate school at NCSU you have to apply through the Graduate School (http://www.ncsu.edu/grad). new GPA
if you want to do another undergrad you must readmit (http://www.ncsu.edu/registrar/forms/pdf/readmit.pdf). same GPA
if you want to take courses not in a degree program, you can apply through lifelong education (http://www.ncsu.edu/cpss). new GPA 7/17/2007 10:56:47 AM |

So you have a BS in Applied Math, and want to do a BS/BE in engineering?
Don't be silly dude!
Get an MS/ME in engineering. Imagine telling someone:
Yeah I have a BS in math and a BS in x engineering
as opposed to
Yeah I have a BS in math and an MS in x engineering
Not to mention, all the financial benefits of doing an MS (greater cumulative earnings over a lifetime). 7/17/2007 1:48:22 PM |

^ Agreed.
You might have to take a few pre-req classes once you were in a masters program, but it is much better time-wise/money-wise/academically/professionally. My experiences with seeing people go back for 2nd degrees is usually for nursing (they were previously music/english/etc majors).
