Been wanting to learn for a long! Anyone out there give lessons or know someone who does?

i can give lessons, i play the 3 major kinds of saxes, and have taken lessons all my life, what kind of sax u got?

i don't have one! but when i was thinking of buying i looked at the alto sax's...those are the most common kind right?

yep, i might be interested in selling mine, or renting it...maybe...i never play it, but i'm kind of attached to it

alto saxes are awesome, they are relatively cheap too

the used ones i looked at were around $600...that is not cheap to a broke college student

unless you know of some better deals?

I play and own the three most common sizes, but mine are not ones I'd want to rent out...I'd highly recommend going to a music store and looking at renting one there to see if you even like it. If you do, check out a pawn store and craigslist. A nice sax is $$, but altos are common enough that you can get a cheap one. Granted, if you get a cheap one, don't expect stellar tone or pitch.
