I recently had to reinstall windows and now when I try to play any videos on my computer, they are very dark and the color is off. I have Windows Media Player 10, and I have downloaded the latest DIVX codecs, and nothing. It is not just a WMP problem, it also happens when I try to play them in WinAmp. Anyone know of a way to fix this? Thanks in advance. 7/20/2007 1:11:17 AM |

Still isn't working, I even updated Direct X, downloaded and installed cccp, and it won't work per say. However, I did find out if I start up playing a video on WMP, then stop it, leave WMP open, then open up WinAmp and try to play it in that with WMP stopped in the background, it works fine. What the hell could be causing that? 7/20/2007 5:25:30 PM |

Driver issue maybe. Did you remember to install the right video card drivers after you reinstalled windows? Doesn't seem like it's a codec issue. Also check all your color settings, and set them to default. I've had weird issues with color etc and had to set them back to default after some programs changed them. 7/20/2007 5:29:51 PM |
