great show, glad i got the last minute tickets. i can't imagine a better voice for singing old time music than Doc's. great song, great stories, its amazing how well that man sings and picks at the age of 84. we should all wish to be so fortunate.
first time i've seen a show at the art museum, i love the place. #1 best thing about that place/that show was you could walk down and sit on the ground in front of the stage for virtually front row tickets...no matter what time you arrived. people would have their chairs/blankets up higher, then come down and sit on the cement in front of Doc for 15-30 minutes or more at a time. really nice touch, cause I couldn't even see him from my spot #2 best thing was the cheap beer prices...$3 cans of heineken/corona/domestics is a steal at a concert.] 7/29/2007 7:49:52 PM |

what a awesome show. great bluegrass, great weather, great beer.
I had never seen a show at the Museum, but I will be going back. $3 Ram's Head IPA was delicious. the picking was fast and fun. the mood was light and the stories were enjoyable.
if you like bluegrass and you have the chance to see Doc, check him out. 7/30/2007 2:52:49 PM |
