I have set access for the www folder but i have other folders in it which I can't access. Also can't view a photo in the www folder by trying to just go straight to it.
I have signed in with putty but I don't know how to check the rights. And I know that these folders and files are there.

Using SSH, "fs la ." should display the rights of the current directory

^^You'll have to explain what you mean by "sftp putty". Those are two entirely different things. If you're using PuTTY for an SSH session, then fs -la should do the trick. Also, which server are you logging into? 7/30/2007 8:46:21 PM |

^ i'm using the psftp program found here http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html
I use open sftp.ncsu.edu
cd www
when i try to do fs and anything is says: unknown command "fs"
when i use regular putty (ssh) and try to log in I enter my username and pass and it just sits there
