I found a few text/pdf to voice programs online, but they all have harsh voices. Is there a free one out there with a natural sounding voice? I'm guessing not, but I wanted to ask here just for the heck of it.
The ones I found were at download.com. They work, I just can't stand to listen to them for any length of time. 7/31/2007 4:38:56 PM |

i know it's kind of hidden in both the TITLE and the BODY...
but what part of the whole "freeware" concept do you not get?

I might just break down and buy one. Since I can't stream anything at work, I need some extra stimulation. I found a few trial versions from c/net that seemed promising, but I'm strapped for cash at the moment.
I'm still doubting it exists, but I'll send it to the top for the heck of it. 8/1/2007 8:54:55 AM |

Thats pretty cool, but its not worth $300 per voice for the software. 8/1/2007 10:20:42 AM |

Did you read the thread? Go troll in another thread.
Considering that none of the software I use for my job will ever be available on a mac, I think I'll stick with my PC's.
