ok, i just bought supcom and its approx 4.8gigz

reg dvd's are 4.7,

is there any way to shrink this down using ultra iso? i know if i just blatently remove files from the iso it will screw the install process

or do i have to just settle and use a DL


p.s. i tried converting it to a compressed iso and its just over by a few megs etc...


also, im having the same size problem with rainbow6 vegas,


any / all suggestions appreciated

uh regular dvd-r's are 4.37gigs.

dual layer is your only option if you want to burn them

gb (SI) = 10^3

gb (binary) = 2^30

They are reporting 4.7gb in SI units.

In actuality you get 4.377 gigabytes (binary).

but to the point, other then DL theres no way of ...i guess...thinning out a dvd w/out messing up the .exe?

i.e. taking out the directx files that come with the install etc

it doesnt mess up the disc. Apparently you've never heard of copy protection. Go google safedisc

Have you considered just using regular file compression on the .iso and putting it on the DVD? When you needed to use it, you could just mount the .iso using Daemon Tools I guess. It would be kind of a hassle but it might work.
